You are welcome at Canterbury!

Canterbury Fellowship is an outreach of Christ Episcopal Church to the students of Virginia Tech.

The Canterbury House is the heart of our life together. The Canterbury Fellowship gathers every Wednesday night at 5:30 during the school year to celebrate Eucharist, discuss various points of theology, and then to enjoy dinner together. We are usually done by 7:00, unless of course we hang out to watch Jeopardy together!

While the Canterbury Fellowship is officially our outreach to the undergraduate students at VT, everyone is welcome to join us. In addition to worship, we engage in service projects both with the parish and with Tech groups. We are a social group, regularly gathering for movie nights, game nights, day trips, retreats, parties and other events. We enjoy outdoor activities too, such as canoeing, hiking, sledding and even caving! All in all, we're a pretty fun group!

We are proud, flag-waving members of The Episcopal Church The Episcopal Church (a member of the global Anglican Communion), and we are hopeful about what the future holds for us and the rest of God's people.

We work ecumenically with groups such as the Lutheran Student Movement, the Presbyterian (PCUSA) student group, and United Campus Ministries (UCC). We are a welcoming community wherever you are in your faith journey. We do not discriminate based on gender, race, age, status, ability, orientation or convictions -- everyone from orthodoxies to heretics welcome!
